The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and executing test strategies that ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance across complex data pipelines at enterprise scale. This role will focus heavily on data validation, functional testing of Databricks transformations, and automation of data quality checks. The candidate must have prior hands-on experience with data lake validations, Spark/Python scripting, and Azure cloud tools. Responsibilities Own test strategy, implementation, and automation for batch/streaming data pipelines on Databricks, Azure Data Explorer (ADX), and cloud data lakes Build automated tests and quality gates for ingestion, transformation, and output validation across ADX/Delta/Parquet/SQL Integrate data test automation into CI/CD pipelines for consistent, repeatable deployments Partner with data engineering, platform, and analytics teams to ensure correctness, reliability, and compliance Design and automate functional validation of Databricks transformations (modern ETL validation) Create and execute domain use cases for payments and transactions (credit card authorization, gift card authorization, purchases, modifications, and related data) Validate data logs, reporting outputs, and Power BI dashboards for accuracy and completeness Maintain legacy test scripts as needed while driving modernization of tooling and practices Requirements Senior-level QA/SDET with hands-on Databricks test automation using Spark and Python on Azure Strong data-validation experience for data lakes and transformation pipelines (ETL/ELT) Automation frameworks and functional testing with CI/CD integration (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) Proficiency with Kusto (Azure Data Explorer), SQL, and Parquet/Delta Lake formats (including partitioning and schema evolution) Ability to analyze complex system/data-flow issues and design scalable test strategies Clear, senior-level communication skills for articulating test approach and partnering with technical and business stakeholders Fast learner of new functional and technical domains; able to work independently Must to Have Experience validating financial transactions/payments (reconciliation, accuracy, idempotency) Exposure to UI test automation and willingness to ramp quickly Familiarity with data quality/observability patterns using ADX/Kusto queries and dashboards Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment quality analyst user interface business intelligence Ohio SDET QA :: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid [email protected] http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2837938&uid=7dcb716d352f442ba5cb600cfa88a94c |
