Position: Security Engineer(100% Remote Role) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6 Months Job Description: Description Leading technical security projects, including Proof of Concepts (POC) for technology supporting the advancement of Security and Compliance control requirements. Working with other IT engineers, application owners, and system owners to develop, implement, maintain and optimize technology and security solutions to support control requirements. Contributing in the development information security strategies, controls, architecture, security operations processes and procedures. Serving as an escalation point and participating in the incident response process. Providing advanced threat and vulnerability analysis and coordinating the remediation of complex software and hardware vulnerabilities Measuring effectiveness of security technologies and producing periodic management reports and metrics and recommending changes to enhance systems and business process security Travel Required: Yes Skills Specialized Knowledge : Experience in implementing and maintaining security solutions including, but not limited to anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems, intrusion detection and prevention systems, Security Information Event Management systems. Special Skills : Extensive knowledge of operating system, database, and application security. Proficiency in networking technologies, network security, and network monitoring solutions. Proficiency in Active Directory security, web application security. Other: : Working knowledge of scripting (Power, Python, etc.) is a plus.
