Job Title: QA Automation Engineer with DevOps. Location: San Francisco, CA (Locals) Duration: 12+ Months Job Summary: The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the development, execution, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks. This role requires strong experience in automation scripting, software testing methodologies, and integration with DevOps pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts to ensure efficient and consistent testing. Prepare test plans, test data, test cases, and traceability matrices. Collaborate with development and QA teams for effective test execution and defect resolution. Conduct early and continuous testing in alignment with DevOps and CI/CD practices. Build and manage test suites and scripts using Selenium with Python. Perform GIS automation involving GIS data and maps. Execute database automation, including file handling (Excel, text, CSV) through automation scripts. Analyze test results, identify patterns and issues, and produce detailed test reports. Review test plans and designs, providing leadership and mentorship to a small team of testers. Required Skills & Experience: Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Proficient in automation tools such as Tosca and Selenium. Expertise in multiple automation frameworks: Keyword-driven, Data-driven, and Hybrid. Hands-on experience in automation using Python. Experience with GIS automation and testing of GIS data/maps. Experience in database automation and file handling (Excel, text, CSV). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and AWS deployments. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
