Job Title:IBM DB2z Location: Denver, Colorado(Initial Remote) Duration: Contract Job Description : You will be playing an essential role like managing, securing, and maintaining the database system. The purpose is to be provided an environment on which the system software and applications can function smoothly and effectively serving many thousands of users efficiently. Responsibilities/Tasks: Capable of dissecting complex technical scheduling situations and refocusing on the most business critical tasks. - Respond to rectify/escalate alerts as per guidelines and Monitoring the queues (Service Now, events, etc ). - - Responsible for DB/2 products in production and test environments. - Software installation and Maintenance - Managing Data Integrity and Monitoring Performance - Database Recovery, Security, Integrity, Accessibility. - Troubleshooting - In the event of a problem, troubleshoot it immediately. Experience/Exposure: You must have at least 7+ years experience of which at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in similar role. - Resource must be highly proficient with all aspects of the z/OS operating system administration and support of SMPE, TSO, VSAM file management and JCL. - Resolving complex incidents scripted recoveries, agreed incident resolution with customer. - - Installs and maintains software used for supporting and monitoring DB/2. Assists all development work on DB/2. Help in application development, designing and creating database objects, migrating from test to production, and implementing batch schedules with the appropriate DB2 utilities. - Server admin activities DB/2 resides monitor disk space and the DB2 log, backups, protect the integrity of the data. - - Operational responsibility for access administration of DB2, CICS and Dataset access.
