About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Developer with strong experience in cloud-based systems, API integrations, and microservices architecture. This role is focused on backend development and data-driven engineering, with a particular emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologiesespecially Spanner Database, which is central to our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java Build and integrate APIs and microservices to support business applications Lead and support cloud migration efforts, particularly from on-prem to GCP Model and manage data using Spanner Database (critical requirement) Work with NoSQL and graph databases to support complex data structures Automate backend and database processes for improved efficiency Collaborate with UI engineers and other stakeholders to ensure end-to-end system functionality Contribute to the adoption of data engineering tools and practices within the team Required Qualifications 8+ years of backend development experience, primarily in Java Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services: Spanner Database (must-have) BigQuery or Bigtable GCS (Google Cloud Storage) Kafka Strong understanding of API integration and microservices architecture Experience with NoSQL and graph databases Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects Preferred Qualifications Exposure to data engineering tools and practices Familiarity with UI components and front-end workflows (not a core focus) Experience with database automation and performance optimization Arjun BHATT SR.
