Title : Disaster Recovery Specialist Location: Chicago, IL -----100% Remote Duration: 12+ months contract Visa : No H1B/CPT/OPT Description: This Position Is Responsible For Developing Risk Management Procedures, Business Continuance Scenarios, Contingency And Disaster Recovery Plans For Central And Distributed Systems And Networks To Maintain Operations During Downtime And/Or Major Disasters Identifying And Making Recommendations Regarding Critical Points Of Failure; Developing And Implementing Policies And Procedures For Business Continuance And Disaster Recovery Plans; Testing Plans With Various Operational And Support Groups In It; Assisting In The Evaluation And Selection Of Vendors To Ensure Service Level Agreement Meet Business Continuance And Disaster Recovery Planning Requirements Job Description * Develop risk management procedures, business continuance scenarios, contingency and disaster recovery plans for central and distributed systems and networks to maintain operations during downtime and/or major disasters. * Identify and make recommendations regarding critical points of failure. * Develop and implement policies and procedures for business continuance and disaster recovery plans. Tests plans with various operational and support groups in IT. * Assist in evaluation and selection of vendors to ensure service level agreement meet business continuance and disaster recovery planning requirements. * Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. * Coordinate, test, and administer disaster recovery and resumption plans. * Implement data models, database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes. * Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Perform a variety of tasks. * Work under general supervision. Required Job Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree and 4 years experience in disaster recovery planning, process analysis, and general business systems analyst. * Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise * Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices * Takes initiative to solve complex problems; takes an outside inperspective to identify innovative solutions * Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations * May lead functional teams or projects Preferred Job Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. *Experience with RSA Archer or other Business Resiliency planning tools.
