Position Title: QA Automation Engineer Risk Systems (SDET) Location: Jersey City, NJ (Onsite 3 days per week) Please send local candidates only as this is going to be F2F interview. Position Overview Jefferies is seeking a highly skilled QA Analyst (SDET/QA Tester) to support Risk-related applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both functional QA testing and test automation, with hands-on experience in risk systems, test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines. This role requires collaboration across development, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality risk technology solutions. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts against risk applications. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo or GitHub Actions. Conduct regression, integration, and system testing across front-end and back-end layers. Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to resolve defects and imize system performance. Analyze requirements to design comprehensive and logical test scenarios. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming. Execute and document test results, log defects, and verify fixes through retesting. Contribute to performance and security testing initiatives. Provide regular status reports to business and IT stakeholders. Ensure adherence to QA best practices, testing methodologies, and risk compliance standards. Desired Skills & Experience 6+ years of hands-on experience in QA testing and automation. Strong programming skills in Python with exposure to AWS and Snowflake. Proficiency with SQL and database systems (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle). Experience with BI tools such as Astrato, Qlik, Tableau (or similar). Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows environments. Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and test-driven development (TDD). Experience using Jira, Bitbucket, and version control best practices. Exposure to financial services and risk systems (Credit Risk, Market Risk) strongly preferred. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Ability to coordinate with project/program managers and provide technical/domain guidance. Personal Attributes Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
