I am sharing this with you to see if you could help us find someone who may have these skills. We hope to move on with this quickly. What they need: This is a lership role with hands-on capabilities. They are looking for a business person to work closely with business units to identify data analytics/reporting needs and then work with technical teams to identify, extract, transform and load data into the data lake. The role will need to: Develop and implement the data analytics strategy in alignment with the companys goals and objectives. L, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and users across the companys strategic functions. Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and innovation throughout the organization. Collaborate with senior lership to identify and prioritize business problems and opportunities where data analytics can add measurable value. Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data from various internal and external sources. Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy through strong data governance practices. Integrate data from different sources to produce comprehensive datasets for analysis, including publicly available external data. Develop and maintain data documentation, metadata, and data dictionaries. Use advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive analytics to discover insights and trends. Create and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations that clearly communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Analyze complex datasets to find patterns, correlations, and anomalies that support business decisions. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of data initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, finance, and operations, to understand their data needs and offer analytical support. Explain complex analytical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders clearly and straightforwardly. Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to keep up with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics. Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and industry standards. Implement and enforce data security protocols to protect sensitive information. Monitor and respond promptly to data breaches or security incidents. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a lership role. Proven track record of successfully ling data analytics teams and projects. Strong proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with data platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) and cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of data governance, data privacy regulations, and data security best practices.
