Position: Network Administrator Engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12+ month. Job Description: 2 Days Remote and 3 Days onsite in Huston TX (77043) We are looking for a Cisco Network Engineer/Administrator for a 6-12+ month contract opportunity in Houston, TX. The selected individual will be involved in a data center network infrastructure rollout of all new Cisco switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VoIP. This position requires applicants to be local to the Houston area, as there will be on-site work to physically install hardware/Cable etc. There is a possibility of work from home once or twice a week. Typical responsibilities include installing and integrating new switches, routers, firewalls, and applications, as well as specifying WAN/LAN/WIFI infrastructure requirements and design solutions. Individual should have strong Cisco route/switch infrastructure experience, experience configuring and monitoring Aruba WIFI networks, and hands-on experience managing and administering Cisco VoIP (CCUM). Plusses include certification in CCNA, understanding of SD-WAN, and reliable knowledge about Cisco Internetworks. Required skills: 5-8+ years of work experience in Cisco and other related network technologies Experience with Catalyst Series 9500/9300 required Experience with PaloAlto nextgen firewall preferred Experience with Aruba wireless.
