Title: Okta Security Consultant Location: Remote Duration: 12+ Months Visa USC AND GC ONLY Job Description: Qualifications Must Haves: 3 + more years with strong knowledge of information security and IAM principles and practices 3+ years of information technology experience with 2 3 years practical experience with Okta Okta Certification Perform as an experienced Okta professional for all activities related to our Okta implementation including engineering support, provisioning of application security, troubleshooting and remediation of Okta-related issues and consultation and collaboration with other development groups to assist with applications changes to support OIDC Integrating on-premises applications with a SSO solution and multiple IdPs using SAML Stand up a new Okta organization Utilize IAM (Identity and Access Management) programs to enable federal clients to protect against digital identity risks Provide appropriate access to applications, systems, and data with advanced authentication Knowledge of Active Directory for maintaining user access Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight as you will be call to exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for resolving issues Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking; out-of-the-box thinkers Ability to identify, analyze, and address problems to resolve issues in a way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization as you will be viewed as a technology subject matter expert Ability to be comfortable delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding Effective communication skills and motivation/willingness to learn Demonstrated effective organizational and cross-functional verbal and written communication skills to collaborate on the integration to existing security features Demonstrated ability to work as an individual contributor in an Enterprise environment Willingness to learn and assist with issues that you have not experience before Capable of handling multiple communication channels while working the issues Nice to Haves: Security Claim Application experience Familiarity with IT security and risk management practices Ability to utilize various programming or scripting languages such as: SQL, Perl, Python, or JavaScript, Responsibilities Support the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new IT solutions and of any enhancements to existing IT solutions Well-rounded host and network security expertise Ability to script and automate repetitious tasks Perform maintenance and upgrades of existing security technologies Support IT operations by identifying and resolving problems, responding to IT related requests, maintaining systems integrity and security Assist new and ongoing projects, advise/ support on architectures, security, and mitigating controls. The Security Engineer within Enterprise IAM Operations will be responsible for supporting strategic IAM functions like lifecycle management, access management and privileged identity management Provide advanced troubleshooting and triaging issues. Monitoring system health, deploying enhancements, hot fixes and fix packs, performing configuration changes in multiple environments, and coordinating with key stakeholders from IT, business teams, and third-party vendors.
