The right candidate can effectively support multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment working closely with IT, business project stakeholders. The projects are related to the transformation of applications and capabilities used by various Multifamily Finance business divisions. Multi-year Accounting Platform Modernization project to transform end-to-end accounting functions, streamline close activities, provide new subledger, improve controls, compliance with SOX policies, reporting, transparency, agility, and data-driven decision-making, while accommodating the increased volume of Multifamily Participation Certificates and K-deals, and addressing regulatory and market demands. In this dynamic position, you will act as a vital link between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring our data applications and systems maintain the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and security. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will utilize your expertise in system analysis, data analytics, and Agile methodologies to support key initiatives across the organization. Your contributions will directly impact Freddie Mac's ability to deliver innovative housing finance solutions through comprehensive requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and process improvement.Qualifications: 5+ years of related work experience relevant to system analysis Bachelors degree in computer science, information management systems, or business administration or related experience. Ability to work independently with a technical and/or infrastructure team Strong problem solving and analytical abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient with SQL, Excel, and Share Point, Jira, Confluence, Dremio, Beyond Compare, Visual Studio and familiarity with databases (DB2, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake). Experience in end-to-end analysis, design, implementation, and support of applications of varying implementation methods (on-premises vs. cloud, COTS vs. in-house developed, etc.) plus. Theyre seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Analyst who can bridge the gap between business users and technical teams.Key Responsibilities: Work closely with business users to understand requirements and coordinate within the technical team. Perform deep analysis from a technical standpoint translating business requirements into system-level specifications. Run SQL/NoSQL queries, analyze data from RDBMS, NoSQL, and Snowflake sources, and support legacy system integrations. Collaborate with the UI/UX team to gather user input, review wireframes, and document system functionality. Create detailed documentation and write user stories in Gherkin format within an Agile framework (Jira, Confluence). Consolidate and present data from multiple finance lines of business. Support the modernization of legacy and subledger systems, improving financial reporting and accounting processes. Handle both structured and unstructured data as part of the modernization program.Preferred Background: Strong analytical and system analysis experience (technical focus, not purely business analysis). Finance, accounting, or mortgage background strongly preferred (GL, subledger, FNMA, or Freddie Mac experience ideal). Understanding of accounting processes and finance data flows. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities within a 35 year modernization program. Additional Notes: This role is part of the Multifamily Finance modernization initiative, under the Central Finance Office, focused on mortgage accounting. Candidates with experience in modernizing legacy financial systems or reimagining finance processes will stand out.
