Job ID: | SS032 | Position Type: | Hybrid (On-site 3x/week in the near future) | Location: | DMV Region (Local Candidates Only) | Closing Date: | November 23th | We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AWS Connect Specialist to join our team, working closely with the District government stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of the AWS Connect cloud-based contact center solution, ensuring optimal performance, security, and alignment with critical business objectives. Key Responsibilities 1. Design and Configuration Design, document, and implement dynamic contact flows in AWS Connect to ensure optimal and intelligent call routing based on complex business requirements. Develop and deploy chatbots and conversational AI using Amazon Connect and related services (e.g., Amazon Lex) for automated customer interactions within contact flows. Configure and maintain Amazon Connect instances, user profiles, routing profiles, and security profiles according to best practices and security policies. 2. Metrics and Reporting Ensure the collection and availability of all necessary metrics for Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management within AWS Connect. Configure and maintain custom dashboards and reports using Amazon Connect's native reporting and Amazon QuickSight for business units to effectively monitor team performance. Regularly review usage data from Amazon Connect's cloud monitoring tools, such as Amazon CloudWatch, and report findings and recommendations to the supervisor. 3. Outbound Campaigns and Surveys Set up and manage outbound voice campaigns and customer surveys utilizing Amazon Connect Outbound Campaigns and Contact Flows. Ensure all campaigns comply with relevant regulations, including meticulous management of caller ID settings, call times, and contact attempts. 4. Integration and Optimization Design and implement seamless integrations between AWS Connect and other critical systems, including CRMs, leveraging AWS Lambda and other AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, S3). Continuously review and enhance contact center designs based on user and operational feedback to improve efficiency, reliability, and availability. 5. Security and Compliance Collaborate with security staff and supervisors to document and implement processes and procedures that ensure AWS Connect adheres to District, OCIO, and relevant security controls. Apply appropriate change control and configuration management processes for all modifications to the production environment. 6. Troubleshooting and Support Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to the AWS Connect environment, providing timely and professional updates to the supervisor. Implement necessary system revisions to maintain and improve overall contact center performance. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience. Required Experience & Skills Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Connect and a strong understanding of other core AWS cloud services. In-depth, hands-on experience with Amazon Connect, including contact flow creation, complex call routing logic, and user/profile management. Proven experience with scripting and integrating various AWS services, such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3, to build and enhance contact center functionalities. Demonstrated experience configuring and utilizing Amazon Connect's native reporting and dashboard capabilities for effective KPI management. Experience with other AWS services that integrate with Amazon Connect, such as Lex (for chatbots) and S3. Strong understanding of Workforce Optimization (WFO) best practices (e.g., Forecasting, Capacity Planning, Scheduling) and how to implement them within the AWS Connect ecosystem. Strong understanding of Voice over IP (VoIP), Customer Experience (CX) strategies, and system integration principles. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT project managers, business analysts, security staff, and business leaders. Exceptional communication skills for gathering requirements, providing technical explanations, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders. Preferred Certifications AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate, are highly preferred.
