Hybrid minimum 2 days in office. Locals only. Must do onsite interview. No CPT visa. Duration: Long-term contract (typically year-over-year, depending on performance)Position Overview As a Business Analyst within the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE), you will ensure business requirements are translated into clear, testable specifications and support development, QA, and UAT teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. The role requires rapid mastery of utility business processes and strong collaboration across IT, QA, Operations, and Business Leadership.Key Responsibilities Lead requirements gathering through workshops, interviews, and cross-functional sessions. Produce comprehensive documentation: BRDs, use cases, user stories, process flows. Prepare impact analysis for change requests; identify impacts, risks, dependencies and review testing scope. Decompose high-level capabilities into epics, features, and atomic user stories. Drive consensus and alignment among IT, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders. Provide input to QA on test coverage, strategy, and planning; act as a go-to expert during test planning, execution, and defect triage. Support TCoE governance by establishing and maintaining end-to-end requirements traceability. Translate operational needs into precise, testable system specifications focused on reliability and compliance. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, including automation, cloud, and AI-powered tools; support metrics-driven testing via dashboards and KPIs.Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. At least 5 years of progressive, hands-on Business Analyst or Systems Analyst experience in enterprise environments. Practical utility domain experience with one or more of: Outage Management System (OMS), Oracle Utilities Analytics (OUA), GIS, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Work Management Systems (e.g., IBM Maximo). Proven expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, management, process mapping (AS-IS/TO-BE), workflow documentation, and stakeholder management. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.Preferred Skills and Certifications Certifications considered a plus: IIBA-CBAP, IIBA-CCBA, PMI-PBA. Experience with test management tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM. SQL proficiency and familiarity with functional, acceptance, regression, and system integration testing. Experience with Generative AI tools for requirements analysis, test case generation, or test automation (e.g., ACCELQ, testRigor). Previous work within a Testing Center of Excellence or Quality Engineering organization; experience with both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Understanding of utility regulatory compliance (NERC, PSC, FERC) is a plus. Notes / Constraints: Hybrid role with minimum 2 days onsite; locals only; onsite interview required; CPT visa not accepted.
