Manage applications and subsystems startup and shutdown through IBMs Z Automation Systems. Create/Manage Rules in Automation tables, CRT, MRT in IBMs System Automation Tool. Add a new task to the policy database. Build and deploy new System Automation policies. Add timers to recycle the subsystems and issue commands as needed. Create message automation as requested to perform actions such as issuing commands, sending emails, or creating incident records. Set up automation to monitor applications and alert on problem states. Perform root cause problem analysis using system and application logs. Build processes for Disaster Recovery and participate in DR exercises. Be available for after-hours support of system automation on a monthly rotating basis. Competitive candidates will bring the following skills: Knowledge of IBMs Netview and Z System Automation Knowledge of the Policy Database, Command Revision Table, and Message Revision Table in SAZOS Ability to code and maintain TSO/e and Netview REXX Good understanding of Netview PIPEs Ability to analyze problem situations for root cause and develop solutions.
