This role combines business analysis expertise with subject matter knowledge of Single-Counterparty Credit Limits regulations to bridge regulatory requirements and business/technical implementation.You will work across three critical workstreams: (1) data sourcing and controls, (2) writing business requirements for technology development, and (3) supporting the SCCL governance framework. This role requires someone who can translate complex regulatory rules into practical business requirements, analyze data requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, risk, and finance.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with at least 3 years in regulatory programs Direct experience with SCCL, large exposures, or credit risk regulatory frameworks required Proven track record of writing business requirements for complex regulatory or technology projects Experience working with large financial institutions ($50B+ in assets) or consulting to such organizations Background in data analysis and data requirements definitionTechnical Skills Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis (required) Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (preferred) Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) Familiarity with Alteryx or similar data preparation tools Understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts Knowledge of data quality frameworks and validation methodologiesBusiness Analysis Skills Expert in requirements elicitation techniques and documentation best practices Strong ability to translate regulatory language into business and technical requirements Experience with process mapping, data flow diagrams, and system documentation Proficiency in creating BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria UAT planning and execution experienceDomain Knowledge Strong understanding of SCCL regulations, FR 2590 reporting, and credit exposure calculations Knowledge of banking products, credit instruments, and derivatives Familiarity with counterparty aggregation, economic interdependence, and exemption rules Understanding of regulatory reporting processes and data governanceEducation Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field required Business analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA) or advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferredTHREE CORE WORKSTREAMS1. Data Sourcing & Controls Identify and document data sources needed for SCCL exposure calculations and FR 2590 reporting Map regulatory data requirements to existing source systems and identify gaps Define data quality controls and validation rules for SCCL-related data Document data lineage from source systems through regulatory calculations2. Business Requirements for Technology Translate SCCL regulatory requirements into detailed functional specifications Write business requirements documents (BRDs) for system enhancements and new builds Document calculation logic for exposure aggregation, counterparty classification, and limit monitoring Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system outputs against regulatory standards3.
