Summary The Tech II works in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment, performing repair, assembly, and quality compliance tasks for medical devices. This role ensures the pumps are returned to their original state and meet quality standards. II. Essential Functions Follow documented procedures to restore pumps to original state and ensure a quality end product. Troubleshoot various pump components. Use hand tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair devices. Perform limited technical aspects of repair, production, and restocking processes. Complete all documentation required for FDA and quality compliance. III. Qualifications, Knowledge, Education, and Skills Ability to identify small electronic components and differentiate them by markings. Demonstrates teamwork, cooperation, and ability to handle production pressures. Ability to read and follow work instructions and assemble/disassemble devices accurately. Perform tasks with minimal supervision, including documentation for compliance. Good judgment, positive attitude, and high initiative. Willingness and ability to learn production and repair procedures. Basic computer skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet daily targets. Basic math skills and ability to transcribe data accurately. Proficient in reading and writing English. Ability to visually inspect for particulate/foreign matter and distinguish colors per FDA CGMP guidelines. IV. Education/Experience Required High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Experience in mechanical or electrical repair in a manufacturing setting. V. Physical Demands Must be able to sit or stand for most of the workday. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Dynamic lifting: lift/carry up to 15 lbs from floor to shoulder; lift 2 lbs from shoulder to overhead. Push and pull force: maximum 6 lbs. VI. Work Environment FDA-regulated manufacturing environment with strict work rules. Must wear static protective smock at all times in the work area. Must wear and ground wrist strap when working at the workstation. Close proximity to other employees is common.
