Position: TEST ENGINEER Location: Richardson, TX Hybrid Duration 6 months(extendable) Job Description: Responsibilities: Understand System Specifications and develop required Test Plans Work with a team of Test experts and test Network Element Software and Hardware functions Develop Automated Suites to ensure a high degree of automation for the tests Support problem investigation and reproduction during System Test Utilize deep knowledge of Optical Transponders and Line Systems to test Network Elements Utilize deep knowledge of of NBI like CLI, Netconf, RestConf, WebUI etc to test Network Elements Skills & Knowledge: Hands-on experience in understand requirement specifications and testing Optical Network Elements Hands on experience in testing SONET/SDH/DWDM/Data products. Alternatively, have hands-on experience in testing IP, OSPF, Routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper know-how, OSI on optical systems. Any CISCO/JunOS certification or Networking certification would be a huge plus. Experience in the use and operation of optical test equipment including Optical Test sets, optical power meters, etc. Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and automated test tools. Strong hands-on project experience in building Python, expect, scripts etc for test automation. Sound understanding of continuous integration (CI/CD) frameworks. Familiarity with Git, JIRA, Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Excellent communication skills.
