Musthaves: 2-6 years experience as a software engineer 3 years migrating code PySpark, Python, HQL Experience with manual testing, unit testing, validation, and code conversion 1 years experience migrating code off Hadoop environments to the cloud Hugeplus: GCP experience Hadoop to GCP migration experience Reasonfor opening: Additional push to migrate data fromHadoop environment to the cloud (GCP); they have been migrating for quite sometime, but the ecosystem is very complex and they need to ensure this getscompleted by end of year with the current tables/migrations in queue Role: InHadoop, data is generated by applications sitting on top of the Hadoopenvironment (data pipelines, ETL work, etc) and they need to migrate the codeoff of Hadoop specifically into GCP and the new technologies. The primaryresponsibility will be code migration and conversion, along with manual andunit testing and validation.
