The focus is on day-to-day stability for merchandising functions (items, pricing, promotions, markdowns, inventory, sales audit), coordinating any needed enhancements or integrations, maintaining controls/data integrity, and proactively improving operations without heavy programming. Key Responsibilities Serve as the go-to expert for JDA MMS operations on AS400/IBM i, supporting key merchandising areas like item setup, pricing, promotions, markdowns, inventory, and sales audit. Manage AS400/IBM i batch processing: schedule/monitor jobs, troubleshoot failures or delays, and optimize to ensure reliable, efficient execution with minimal disruptions. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and maintain high uptime. Optimize overall system performance through tuning, monitoring, and proactive adjustments to support production demands. Coordinate functional enhancements, configurations, and integrations with other systems (POS, e-commerce, WMS, reporting) via requirements gathering, testing support, and deployment oversight (no custom coding required). Enforce strong controls, data accuracy, auditability, and compliance in merchandising/financial processes. Drive continuous operational improvements: identify bottlenecks, reduce manual workarounds, and recommend system upgrades or efficiencies. Required Qualifications 7+ years hands-on experience administering and supporting JDA MMS (or similar) on AS400/IBM i in a production environment. Strong expertise in managing AS400/IBM i batch processing, troubleshooting complex issues, and performance optimization for reliability. Solid knowledge of retail merchandising operations (item/pricing/promotions lifecycle, inventory, markdowns, sales reconciliation). Experience coordinating system integrations, production support, and enhancements in retail/distribution settings. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for collaborating with business/IT teams.
