Job Title: Oracle WMS Transition & Knowledge Transfer Lead Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite 3days/week) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Job Summary: The primary focus of this engagement is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Oracle WMS environment and facilitate a seamless transition of responsibilities to an offshore delivery team. The consultant will act as a bridge between current state operations and future state managed services. Core Responsibilities: Operational Shadowing & Analysis: Act as a shadow resource to (existing WMS resource) gain a deep understanding of the engagements complexity, the criticality of specific WMS workflows, and the technical interdependencies within the Oracle EBS R12 environment. Comprehensive Documentation: Systematically document all functional processes and technical objects encountered during daily activities. This includes custom objects related to shipping interfaces, and site-specific warehouse configurations. The documentation for every custom object is already present, need to connect the dots. Gap Analysis & Resource Modeling: Based on the gathered documentation and observed workload, perform a capacity analysis to estimate the required headcount and specific skill sets (Functional vs. Technical) needed for a successful offshore replacement. Offshore Enablement: Lead the formal Transition-In phase by providing structured Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to the offshore team, ensuring they are equipped to handle US and Canada operations within the required service level agreements (SLAs).
