Position: GCP Data Engineer(GCP/ Big Query/ Teradata,Talend) Location: Irving TX (Hybrid 2 days remote or 3 days onsite) Duration: 5+ months Job Description: This pivotal role in helping drive business transformation by creating a single source of truth for business performance and diagnostics to enable faster and frictionless flow of information. We are seeking a talented consultant to help accelerate our efforts to drive trust of our data, democratize insights of that data, and ensure the adoption of a data culture at client. As part of COE BI strategic initiatives, we are migrating the data platform from SQL server, Teradata to GCP Big Query. The consultant will work with the GCP Platform lead and will be responsible for support of BAU Teradata job, interface monitoring and handling of failures. Also work on analysis of Teradata BTEQ scripts and then migrating ETL jobs from Teradata to GCP Big Query using Talend ETL Skills Required: Primary Experience working with Teradata BTEQ scripts, UNIX scripts and SQL Experience with data platforms: Teradata, GCP Big Query, AWS, SQL server Expertise in understanding, analyzing Teradata Batch scripts, stored procedures and SQL Knowledge of GCP Platform, services including Big Query, Cloud storage, IAM Knowledge in data set creation in Big Query and optimize them Knowledge in cloud database operations, tools and technologies that are required for on-prem to cloud migration.
