The State of Georgia is seeking an experienced Business Analyst HR Systems with strong HRIS technical knowledge and hands-on business analysis expertise. This role supports a large-scale Workday HCM implementation impacting approximately 70,000 state employees, replacing PeopleSoft HCM.
The Business Analyst will support HR functional areas including Core HR, Talent (Recruiting & Performance), Compensation, and Benefits, with a focus on data conversion, validation, testing, documentation, and user support.Project Overview
Enterprise-wide Workday HCM implementation
Replacement of legacy PeopleSoft HCM
Initial contract through end of fiscal year with anticipated renewal on July 1
Long-term intent, subject to annual budget approvalKey Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and resolve data conversion issues during migration from legacy systems to Workday
Validate converted data using established data validation techniques
Develop detailed test plans and test scripts; execute system and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Provide technical support for system maintenance and enhancements
Create and maintain:
Software user guides
Training materials
Supporting documentation
Deliver end-user training and ongoing system support
Act as liaison between HR business units and technical teams
Ensure requirements traceability from business needs through implementationRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong data analysis and validation skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Working knowledge of SQL and/or data analysis tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to produce high-quality, detailed documentation and deliverables
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skillsMinimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience implementing and/or administering HRIS systems
Direct experience with large-scale data conversions
Proven business analysis experience in HR systems environmentsPreferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience implementing or supporting Workday HCM
Prior experience with PeopleSoft HCM
