This is an onsite role in Hopkins, MN (9380 Excelsior Blvd, Hopkins, MN 55343). Long-term contracts preferred. Relocation is acceptable if provided from day one. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. Implement and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end integrations. Work with Spring Cloud components (Config Server, Eureka, API Gateway, Circuit Breaker) to enable service discovery, configuration, and resilience. Collaborate with front-end engineers to integrate React (TypeScript) applications with the Spring Boot back-end. Develop and maintain data access layers using relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and ORM tools (JPA/Hibernate). Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security and JWT. Apply CI/CD practices using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments. Containerize services using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes. Create and execute unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito) and support front-end testing (Jest or React Testing Library). Participate in daily development activities, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support as needed. Required Skills and Experience 8-10 years of professional experience in software development. Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for microservices development. Hands-on experience with Spring Cloud components (Config Server, Eureka, Gateway, Circuit Breaker). Solid React fundamentals including hooks, state management, component lifecycle; experience with TypeScript in React projects (front-end ~20% of the effort). Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful back-ends. Experience with relational databases and JPA/Hibernate. Practical CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab). Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) experience. Knowledge of Spring Security and JWT-based authentication/authorization. Testing experience: JUnit, Mockito for back-end; Jest or React Testing Library for front-end. Bonus / Preferred Previous experience working with US Bank (will be strongly considered). Experience on long-duration projects and modernization/conversion initiatives.
