Title: Principal Backend Java Developer 10+ years of experience Visa Restriction: No H1B/CPT Location : Alpharetta, GA, Onsite from Day 1, must already currently live in the area, no relocation candidates (Onsite 1-2 days a week) Contract Length: 6-1 months high potential to go full time. Qualifications You're proactive and hands-on. Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, in larger teams Experience Leading distributed teams and business initiatives. BackEnd : Experience Leading projects using Java / Spring Boot / Restful APIs / Microservices Database: Experience Leading projects using MySQL, Elastic Search, or non-SQL databases Queue Managers - Experience Leading projects using SQS or Kafka DevOps - Experience Leading projects using Jenkins / Docker / Kubernetes Automation Experience with Unit Test Frameworks / Test-Driven Development Responsibilities In this role, you will Lead the team for delivery of a complete front to back-end application - from the creation of prototypes from ideas, mockups from wire frames until the functional code implementation. You will Lead the team prototyping solutions and recommending the adoption of new technologies to continually improve our client experience. You will ensure high application quality and performance. You will coordinate the workflow between the end user, product owner, and the developers, providing them direction and helping them solve critical problems. You will work with other developers in the process of building RESTful APIs, creating Unit Tests and participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge. You will work with the release coordination team in deploying application code to different environments, and assist the support team with triaging bugs and troubleshooting production issues as they are identified (which may evening/weekend hours). You will create software documentation and update existing documents. You will Lead the team actively through the best practices of Agile development, daily stand-up, poker planning (development estimation), and tasking. Your goal is to meet deadlines and manage multiple/dynamic priorities, supporting other team members. To thrive in this development career, you'll need to be an expert in Java (Java 8+ preferred) and have a firm grasp on Spring Boot. You'll need to be familiar with web services, RESTful APIs, and open source tools such as Apache KAFKA.
