Veeva Systems Business Engineer

Job Description

Client is a pharmaceutical company specializing in providing therapies for retinal diseases. It is preparing for commercial launch of its first product.
We are looking for an IT specialist with strong technical knowledge and experience with Veeva CRM, or Salesforce.
The person in this position will serve as the Veeva CRM and Veeva Commercial Cloud technology lead, working directly with stakeholders across the organization on multiple projects simultaneously. 
They will work with internal business teams and external partners on a regular basis to educate, provide expertise, support users, and gather business requirements. 
This position reports to the Senior Director of Digital Solutions.

Responsibilities

Serve as Technical Lead for IVERIC bios Veeva Commercial platform and lead architecture, design, build, testing and deployment across the organization.
Support data and system integration.
Responsible for configuration, administration, and routine changes for Veeva CRM, CLM, PromoMats, MedComs, Align, Engage, Network.
Work with stakeholders and BI Developers to design, create, and configure reports and dashboards.
Support third-party agencies with content specifications and integrations as required.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance, support, and continuously improve platform and processes.
Coordinate Veeva Managed Service requests to ensure alignment of system configurations and enhancements.
Create, maintain, and manage documents such as configurations, specifications, user requirements analysis, and user guides.
Support platform Change Control process, testing, and documentation for validated and non-validated implementations.
Work with Veeva Support to maintain sandbox environment and scheduling refreshes to coincide with Veeva upgrades.
Serve as escalation point and SME for Tier 1 support issues and questions from end users, including processes, master data, user access, and other non-technical issues.
Serve as the primary contact for escalation and resolution of Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as all other applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Implementation support and experience with Veeva or Salesforce CRM (Veeva Commercial Cloud), and Veeva Vault required.
Veeva CRM Business or System Administrator, or Salesforce Administrator certification a plus.
Previous experience and familiar with sales processes in the pharmaceuticals, or life science industry.
Experience establishing business and functional requirements and developing test and use cases.
Experience supporting master data governance processes.  Veeva Open Data and Veeva Network is a plus.
Understanding of Computer Software Validation/Computer Software Assurance
Experience in managing vendors and business partners
Candidate must be self-directed, a great team player, and have excellent communication
Able to work independently with low level supervision

Education|Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, or related area or equivalent experience.
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Technical proficiency with analytics systems, such as PowerBi and Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
