Job Title: Jira Support Engineer / Jira Administrator Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid) Contract NO Job Summary: Sr. Atlassian cloud Jira/ confluence administrators contractors who need to have hands-on experience (5 years+) , with good logical thinking and familiar with the Atlassian Jira / confluence support. The Jira Support Engineer will be responsible for administering, configuring, and supporting Jira environments for business and technical teams. This role requires strong Jira administration capabilities, including automation and scripting, along with solid organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth operations and user support. Technical Skills Hands on experience with Jira administration (minimum 35 years preferred). Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, permission management, and configurations. Experience in Jira automation (Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, or similar). Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, JavaScript, or Python is a plus. Basic understanding of Confluence integration is preferred. Organizational & Functional Skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to understand business processes and map them into Jira workflows.
