It ensures that all applicationswhether built in-house or deployed in the cloudmeet established quality, testing, and compliance requirements. The position also serves as a quality consultant, guiding teams on best practices, improving testing processes, and supporting audits to ensure consistent and reliable software delivery. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Testing Analyze business and technical requirements to determine effective testing strategies Plan, prioritize, and execute testing activities across multiple systems and projects Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts Perform functional, API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing Identify, document, and track defects through resolution. Automation & Tools Build and maintain automated test frameworks and regression test suites Develop reusable testing tools, libraries, and test harnesses Evaluate automation opportunities and implement solutions to improve efficiency Quality Standards & Process Improvement Define, implement, and enforce QA standards, procedures, and best practices Monitor and report on QA metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, KPIs) Identify risks and recommend improvements to strengthen quality processes Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ISO) Collaboration & Leadership Partner with development teams to ensure testability and quality throughout the SDLC Lead QA efforts for large initiatives and coordinate with external/vendor teams Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems or business domains Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members Promote best practices in quality engineering within Agile/Scrum teams Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 45+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies Experience with test automation, API testing, and data validation Proficiency in SQL and working with databases and data validation Experience working in Agile environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium) Knowledge of ETL and end-to-end data validation Familiarity with regulatory/compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, ISO) QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) Experience working with distributed or offshore teams Key Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to interpret technical documentation and system designs Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders Experience mentoring or guiding team members Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Hire our IT Recruiter at just $499/month.
