Title: Network Architect Location: Remote Duration 6+ Months with extensions Visa: USC/GC MOI: Video Cloud and Financial/Banking/Capital Markets/Investments experience is required Network Architect Position Description: The AIG Global Network Services is looking for a Network Architect with deep and broad knowledge across network technologies, and implementations in high volume data centers and major cloud environments. This position will focus on Core Data Center Infrastructure responsible for developing network strategies, architectures, designs, and standards across all core network topologies. Including WAN, DNS/DHCP, Data Center infrastructures, Internet, and Cloud network connectivity with AWS & Azure. Develops new or modifies existing network platform capabilities to support business processes by mapping network platform/infrastructure components, identifying dependencies across systems/platforms and managing network infrastructure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity, and supportability. Set the standards for configurations (hardware/software), service providers, and architectures. We are looking for a highly motivated, team oriented individual, proficient with automation technologies and methods. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to contribute to the Network Services team to develop top quality products, services, designs and solutions across the enterprise worldwide. Responsibilities: Collaborates with the team to deliver features and solutions needed for service and program success across hosting data center network infrastructures Contributes to the development, implementation, and support of solutions and automations for data center implementation and management. Design and build leading edge network solutions for mission critical IaaS, SaaS and PaaS in Public and Private Cloud Drives efforts to optimize network performance by growing and modifying existing networks, leveraging new and emerging technologies in support of application services Partners in the development of service and technology standards across the network footprint Collaborates with other Network and System technologist to deliver best of breed solutions and support Support as a Tier-4 escalation for Network Engineers and Administrators Basic Qualifications: Cloud experience and enterprise/financial experience was missing from current pool of candidates Prior Network experience in a global organization and high traffic environment (10+ yrs.). Proven experience in infrastructure development in high scale data center networking, load balancing, and DDI technologies Excellent IP networking and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols. In-depth knowledge of and experience with major routing protocols like BGP and OSPF as well as firewall and load balancing technologies. Expert-level experience and proficiency in routing and switching.
