Communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive/board-level audiences. Lead investigations and act as the primary customer-facing point of contact. Technical Skills (Secondary but Desired) Core Tools: Experience with SIEM (Splunk) and EDR (CrowdStrike). Exposure to SentinelOne, Microsoft, or Rapid7 is a plus. Incident Types: Primarily Business Email Compromise (BEC), Active Directory compromise, and vulnerability exploits. Proactive Services: Ability to lead technical tabletop exercises and develop IR plans/documentation. Foundational IT: Background in SysAdmin or Network Admin is highly valued to understand the environments being secured. Desired Skills:- Tabletop Exercise (TTX) Facilitation: Experience designing and delivering tabletop exercises to test and mature a clients incident response readiness. Cybersecurity Instruction & Training: Ability to develop and deliver technical security training or workshops for diverse audiences, from SOC analysts to C-suite executives. Advanced Incident Response: Deep expertise in memory forensics, malware analysis, and identifying advanced persistent threat (APT) lateral movement. Strategic Security Advisory: Ability to translate raw threat intelligence into strategic recommendations that improve a clients long-term security posture. Education & Certifications:- Academic Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field. Certifications: Industry-standard certifications from organizations such as SANS (GIAC), ISC2 (CISSP), or EC-Council. Specialized Training: Advanced DFIR-specific training (e.g., GCIH, GCFA, or GCFE) is highly encouraged.
