Youll partner across engineering, product, and security to reduce AI/LLM risks like prompt injection and data leakage while enabling secure, scalable adoption of AI technologies. Key Responsibilities Design and implement security guardrails for enterprise AI platforms and LLM-based applications, including ChatGPT integrations. Define and enforce secure usage policies covering prompt handling, data protection, and output validation. Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for AI/ML systems, including prompt injection, data leakage, and model misuse scenarios. Secure AI-enabled applications, APIs, and cloud-based integrations across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Embed secure-by-design principles into AI and application development lifecycles. Implement IAM controls, including governance for non-human identities (NHIs) and service accounts. Develop monitoring and detection mechanisms for AI misuse and anomalous behavior. Partner with engineering, product, and security teams to align AI initiatives to enterprise security standards. Support secure SDLC practices, including vulnerability management and security testing. Create and maintain security documentation, including standards, architecture diagrams, and governance models. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, or cybersecurity engineering. Hands-on experience securing applications and APIs in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong understanding of IAM, including service accounts and machine identities. Experience with secure SDLC, threat modeling, and vulnerability management. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and risks associated with LLMs. Experience implementing data protection, encryption, and access controls. Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, JavaScript, or similar). Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams. Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile or product-driven environments. Ability to work hybrid with 3x on-site presence in NYC or Charlotte, NC. Preferred Qualifications Experience securing AI platforms or working with tools like ChatGPT or similar LLM services. Knowledge of AI-specific threats, including prompt injection, model poisoning, and hallucination mitigation. Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001). Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security. Background in enterprise-scale or regulated environments. Experience securing cloud-native and microservices architectures. Exposure to API security frameworks and zero trust architectures.
