Our client needs someone who is truly at the architect level with a high-level understanding of the Azure cloud, IaC (Terraform and Ansible, as well as other config. mgmt./automation platforms), CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.), and repositories like BitBucket. Top Skills Needed MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AT THE ARCHITECT LEVEL Around 5+ years with Ansible and Terraform Must have a focus in Azure DevOps Must have full understanding and experience of Infrastructure as code (IAC) 5+ years experience with Chef and Puppet 5+ years experience with BitBucket repositories Responsibilities This role needs to be a true Architect level resource with an Azure DevOps focus. PLEASE NOTE: They need to have DevOps professionals, not Cloud Engineers. They have been getting a lot of Cloud Engineers as DevOps Engineers and that isnt what they need. Overview of each role and level of experience: Level A, A- (Architect) Pipeline focus Need to understand all aspects of the Full pipeline component set, from start to end. [CI, Environments (VM, Cloud), Containers, Deployments, QA, Monitoring] (Most are heavy doing pipelines in Azure) Expectations - Must be able to talk about the holistic solution with clients. Create vision about how to solve problem connecting pieces together. Understand pros/cons of doing things differently, based on client needs (understand options and why) Must be hands-on enough to do coding in some areas of specialty.
