The ideal candidate combines design thinking, user research, and hands-on UI execution, with a deep understanding of how design integrates into agile low-code environments. This role will work closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive, accessible, and scalable user experiences in a mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities UX Strategy & Research Lead user research activities (interviews, usability testing, journey mapping) to understand user needs and pain points Translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions Define personas, user flows, and information architecture Drive adoption of design thinking practices across the team UI Design & Prototyping Create high-fidelity UI designs, wireframes, and interactive prototypes Ensure visual consistency through design systems and reusable components Adapt designs to OutSystems UI frameworks and patterns Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation Out Systems Experience Integration Design solutions optimized for low-code environments, balancing flexibility and platform constraints Leverage OutSystems UI components and templates effectively Contribute to the definition of reusable UX/UI assets within the OutSystems ecosystem Collaboration & Delivery Work in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize UX improvements Provide clear design specifications and guidance to development teams Advocate for accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design standards Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design for enterprise or digital platforms Proven experience delivering end-to-end UX/UI solutions (research design implementation) Strong portfolio showcasing complex applications (not just marketing sites) Experience working with low-code platforms (OutSystems preferred, Mendix/Appian acceptable) Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD Solid understanding of: Design systems and component libraries Responsive and mobile-first design Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+) Experience working in Agile environments Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in multilateral organizations, public sector, or financial institutions Familiarity with OutSystems UI framework and reactive web apps Experience designing for data-heavy or workflow-driven platforms Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JS) to collaborate effectively with developers Experience contributing to design governance and standards Key Competencies Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High attention to detail and usability Proactive, collaborative, and delivery-oriented mindset What We Offer Opportunity to work on high-impact, mission-driven digital platforms Collaboration with international and multidisciplinary teams~ Exposure to innovative low-code technologies and scalable architectures Flexible work model (hybrid, Washington DC) Please share your resume at [email protected] Keywords: user interface user experience javascript information technology UX-UI Designer || WA,DC || Hybrid [email protected] http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=3365773&uid=cb586c14bdda4983847396306c60216d |
