This person will build data quality checks, improve data pipelines, and work with engineering and business teams to deliver trusted data for reporting and analytics. Key Responsibilities Define and enforce data quality standards and best practices. Build automated checks for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Monitor data quality metrics and service levels (SLAs). Implement validation checks throughout ETL/ELT pipelines. Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. Implement security controls such as encryption, masking, and access controls. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews. Evaluate and implement new tools for data quality and governance. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 5+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data engineering. Strong experience implementing enterprise-level data quality solutions. Experience leading projects and mentoring team members. Required Technical Skills Advanced SQL and query optimization. Python (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark). Apache Spark and Hadoop. Data modeling (Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault, 3NF). ETL/ELT design and data integration. Tools & Platforms Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP. Data warehouses: Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery. Data quality tools: Great Expectations, Soda Core, Monte Carlo. Workflow tools: Apache Airflow, Prefect, Dagster. Data governance tools: DataHub, OpenMetadata, Alation. Git and CI/CD practices. Compliance Knowledge GDPR and CCPA. Data security and role-based access control. Metadata management and data lineage. Preferred Skills Masters degree. Experience with healthcare compliance (HIPAA).
