About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Full Stack Engineer to drive the development of scalable, web-based applications within a cloud-native environment. This role requires a technical leader who can bridge the gap between customer requirements and engineering execution. You will lead the design and implementation of Microservices and RESTful APIs while ensuring high standards for testing and non-functional requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a Scaled Agile framework and is adept at using a modern DevOps toolchain to deliver high-quality software. Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Lead the design and development of end-to-end web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS/Redux. Cloud Architecture: Architect and deploy services using AWS cloud-native tools, including Lambda, EKS, and various database engines like Aurora and DynamoDB. API Leadership: Develop robust RESTful APIs with Swagger documentation and explore modern query languages like GraphQL. Quality Assurance: Oversee and implement advanced testing strategies, including Mutation Testing and Cypress end-to-end testing, to ensure application resilience. DevOps Integration: Utilize GitLab, Jfrog, and CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline the software delivery lifecycle. System Monitoring: Implement and manage application observability using tools like Datadog, ELK, Grafana, and Splunk. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary technical point of contact for customers to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications. Mentorship: Guide offshore and onshore team members to achieve project objectives within Agile (Scrum) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments. Essential Skills: Core Java/J2EE: Expert knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, JDBC, Servlets, and JSP. Spring Framework: Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring MVC. Cloud Operations: Hands-on experience with AWS services and containerized deployments via EKS. Frontend Mastery: Proven experience in building modern UIs with ReactJS and Redux. Desirable Skills: Domain Expertise: Previous experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain. Scripting: Proficiency in Python for automation or supplementary service development.
