About the Role: We are seeking a high-caliber Technical Lead to drive our data engineering initiatives and spearhead a specialized team of 56 engineers. This role demands a strategic blend of hands-on technical mastery and leadership. You will be responsible for the architectural integrity of our data ecosystem, ensuring the delivery of scalable, real-time streaming solutions and robust integration frameworks. You will act as a decision-maker on technical standards while fostering a culture of technical growth and excellence within your team. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of 56 data engineers, driving collaboration and professional development. Pipeline Orchestration: Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Airflow (Directed Acyclic Graph development). Data Warehousing: Architect and optimize solutions within the Snowflake environment, ensuring high performance and scalability. Streaming Integration: Maintain real-time streaming applications using Apache Kafka or Spark Streaming for event-driven architectures. API Management: Build and integrate REST/SOAP APIs across multiple internal and external systems. Governance: Drive technical decision-making, establish engineering best practices, and maintain high code quality through rigorous reviews. Methodology: Execute projects within Agile/Scrum frameworks to ensure timely and iterative delivery. Essential Skills: Workflow Mastery: Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow for advanced workflow orchestration. Database Expertise: Advanced SQL skills, including complex query design and performance tuning in Snowflake. Real-time Systems: Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for streaming data processing. Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage end-to-end delivery.
