SAP Data Disposition / Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) program

The project focuses on validating and enabling enterprise-scale data retention, archiving, legal hold, and defensible data disposition capabilities across SAP HCM systems.

The work includes configuring SAP ILM, integrating archive repositories, handling custom SAP objects, validating downstream impacts, and ensuring compliance, auditability, and traceability of retention and deletion decisions.

Strong emphasis on communication style, attitude, and professionalism.

Overview

Leads the design and implementation of SAP ILM retention and deletion rules. This is the central role responsible for ensuring compliant, auditable data lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Configure SAP ILM objects and retention policies for HCM data

Translate legal and regulatory requirements into system-enforced rules

Execute and validate data deletion and retention scenarios

Manage legal hold requirements and exception handling

Ensure full auditability and traceability of all disposition decisions

Lead pilot execution, validation, and documentation

Required Skills

Deep SAP ILM expertise (retention, destruction logic, object configuration)

Strong hands-on experience with SAP HCM ILM objects (PA, OM, Payroll)

Hands-on experience with SAP archiving framework (SARA, ILM Store)

Hands-on experience integrating SAP with external OpenText and other archive platforms

Proven ability to map compliance requirements into system rules

Communication & Personality Requirements (Critical)

Exceptional American English communication required; must be able to interface directly with legal, HR, and executive stakeholders

Able to explain complex compliance and technical concepts in simple, business-friendly terms

High confidence, strong presence, and professional maturity

Positive, calm, and solutions-focused under pressure

Extremely detail-oriented with disciplined documentation habits

Collaborative and low-ego; able to work cross-functionally without friction

Role requires candidates who are highly professional, positive, and easy to work with. Clear American English communication is non-negotiable due to direct interaction with business, HR, legal, and audit stakeholders.

Candidates must be confident communicators, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with a strong ability to operate in compliance-driven environments.

Prior enterprise SAP consulting experience

Comfortable in compliance-driven / regulated environments

Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
