About the Role: We are seeking a highly accomplished Lead Ab Initio ETL Engineer to take absolute ownership of all technical aspects of our enterprise Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) projects from initial requirement gathering through to final deployment. In this position, you will head large-scale data integration pipelines within a highly regulated banking ecosystem. You will bridge complex data structures across Teradata, Hadoop, and modern Cloud Storage environments. Operating within an Agile framework, you will drive code standardization, manage metadata lineage, and lead cross-regional engineering teams to deliver zero-defect data warehouse assets. Key Responsibilities: Technical Governance: Own the complete end-to-end technical delivery lifecycle of core Ab Initio ETL development projects. Large-Scale Integration: Architect and execute highly parallel data integration streams connecting Teradata, Hadoop, and cloud-native computing nodes. Scripting & Automation: Author resilient UNIX Scripting modules and orchestrate production-grade workflows using enterprise automation scheduling tools. Metadata Engineering: Map operational data lineage dependencies and manage centralized data catalogs natively inside the Ab Initio Metadata Hub. Cloud Modernization: Integrate legacy data warehouse pipelines with modern Cloud Storage architectures and managed cloud data processing engines. Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and evaluate project task distribution for a dedicated team of junior and mid-level developers using an onshore-offshore operational delivery structure. Vendor Collaboration: Facilitate multi-vendor technical syncs to minimize system friction and ensure seamless upstream/downstream application handshakes. Essential Skills: Ab Initio Tool Mastery: Minimum 7 years of deep, hands-on development expertise configuring complex Ab Initio components, graphs, and execution parameters. Banking Domain Acumen: Detailed understanding of financial data structures, institutional compliance, and core banking warehouse schemas.
