About the Role: We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Java Backend Engineer to drive the modernization, optimization, and remediation of our core financial systems. In this role, you will take full ownership of building and maintaining high-performance, microservices-based backend applications tailored for credit card processing ecosystems. You will architect robust, secure REST APIs, design high-volume data processing batches using Spring Batch, and manage transactional integrity across Oracle 12c databases. Operating in an Agile framework, you will spearhead systemic data remediation initiatives, troubleshoot distributed environments, and enforce strict enterprise development standards. Key Responsibilities: Microservices Engineering: Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot. Batch & Scheduling Management: Build, optimize, and maintain high-volume Spring Batch jobs and automation loops via Quartz Scheduler. API Architecture: Construct secure, low-latency RESTful APIs and web services integrating OAuth authentication mechanisms. Data Tier & Remediation: Author complex SQL and PL/SQL routines, execute database performance tuning, and lead sensitive Customer and Account Data remediation mappings inside Oracle 12c clusters. Event Integration: Wire backend services using asynchronous messaging blocks and distributed event-driven integration patterns. System Design: Analyze incoming SRS documentation to generate detailed technical blueprints and SDS maps. DevOps & Code Quality: Enforce CI/CD workflows, manage code versions in Git, lead deep debugging loops, and participate in peer code reviews. Essential Skills: Java & Spring Stack Mastery: Expert-level development background in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and microservices isolation principles. Enterprise Batch Processing: Solid production experience managing long-running data workflows and concurrent compute batches. Financial Domain Competency: Practical hands-on understanding of Credit Card operations, balance tracking, and account ledger architectures.
