Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer specializing in Configuration & Build Engineering to support the design, management, and optimization of modern software delivery environments. This role requires expertise in configuration management, automated build processes, cloud-native technologies, and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate combines strong software development experience in Java and/or Python with hands-on DevOps, configuration management, and cloud engineering expertise. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient software delivery across development, testing, and release environments. Build & Configuration Management Manage and maintain code baselines, build pipelines, and environment configurations across development, testing, and release environments. Design, implement, and optimize automated build, integration, and deployment processes. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve build, configuration, and environment-related issues. Improve configuration management practices, tooling, and deployment workflows. Support release management activities to ensure consistency and stability across environments. Contribute to scalable, repeatable, and efficient engineering processes. Technical Engineering Develop and maintain solutions using Java and/or Python. Support cloud-native development and deployment environments on AWS. Implement automation and tooling to improve software delivery and operational efficiency. Collaborate on infrastructure and deployment strategies to support modern engineering practices. Collaboration & Communication Partner closely with Engineering, QA, Platform, and DevOps teams to align build and release processes with project requirements. Communicate technical challenges, risks, and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Create and maintain clear documentation for configurations, processes, and system changes. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Process, Quality & Compliance Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering excellence and delivery efficiency. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, governance, and operational standards. Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and system reliability. Support audit and compliance requirements through accurate process and configuration documentation. Required Qualifications Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python. Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native environments. Expertise in software configuration management and version control systems such as Git. Experience managing code baselines across development, testing, and release environments. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated build systems, and release management processes. Proven troubleshooting and debugging skills within complex distributed systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting AI/ML workflows or machine learning model deployment pipelines. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. Background working in data-intensive, analytics, or large-scale enterprise environments.
