Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Robotics Engineer to join our automation team in the Cincinnati, OH area. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, programming, integration, and commissioning of industrial robotic systems. The ideal candidate must possess deep technical expertise in FANUC robotics, including teach pendant programming and system troubleshooting, to optimize manufacturing efficiency and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Robotics Programming & Configuration: Develop, test, and debug industrial robot programs primarily using FANUC systems (Teach Pendant Programming, TPP, and Karel). System Integration: Integrate FANUC robotics platforms with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), safety networks, and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET). Vision System Calibration: Set up, program, and calibrate integrated vision systems (such as FANUC iRVision or Cognex) for part localization, inspection, and error-proofing. Simulation & Modeling: Utilize offline programming and simulation tools like FANUC ROBOGUIDE to validate robotic cell layouts, cycle times, and reachability analyses before physical deployment. Commissioning & Startup: Lead on-site installation, startup, and optimization of robotic cells at manufacturing facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with RIA/OSHA standards. Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose complex technical issues involving robot mechanicals, electrical controls, servo drives, and End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT). Process Optimization: Monitor and analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics to identify bottlenecks, eliminate cycle time waste, and improve production throughput.
