Lead UI/UX Designer Location: Onsite Washington DC Need locals Duration: 6+ Months Feedback from previous interviews: some of the profiles we are receiving are closer to graphic or visual designers who are trying to transition into UX/Product Design, rather than candidates with a strong foundation in the product design discipline. Several candidates mention UX research, product thinking, or end-to-end UX experience in their resumes, but their portfolios do not communicate that depth clearly. In some cases, there seems to be a gap between what they claim to know and how they actually translate research findings, business requirements, or user insights into final design solutions. For this role, I think we should prioritize candidates who can demonstrate a clear product design process: understanding the business problem, identifying user needs and UX/UI gaps, synthesizing research, making design decisions, and translating those decisions into high-fidelity producto solutions. Key Responsibilities UX Strategy & Research Lead user research activities (interviews, usability testing, journey mapping) to understand user needs and pain points Translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions Define personas, user flows, and information architecture Drive adoption of design thinking practices across the team UI Design & Prototyping Create high-fidelity UI designs, wireframes, and interactive prototypes Ensure visual consistency through design systems and reusable components Adapt designs to OutSystems UI frameworks and patterns Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation OutSystems Experience Integration Design solutions optimized for low-code environments, balancing flexibility and platform constraints Leverage OutSystems UI components and templates effectively Contribute to the definition of reusable UX/UI assets within the OutSystems ecosystem Collaboration & Delivery Work in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize UX improvements Provide clear design specifications and guidance to development teams Advocate for accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design standards Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design for enterprise or digital platforms Proven experience delivering end-to-end UX/UI solutions (research design implementation) Experience with UX Research Strong portfolio showcasing complex applications (not just marketing sites) Experience working with low-code platforms (OutSystems preferred, Mendix/Appian acceptable) Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD Solid understanding of: Design systems and component libraries Responsive and mobile-first design Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+) Experience working in Agile environments Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in multilateral organizations, public sector, or financial institutions Familiarity with OutSystems UI framework and reactive web apps Experience designing for data-heavy or workflow-driven platforms Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JS) to collaborate effectively with developers Experience contributing to design governance and standards Please share your resume at [email protected] Keywords: user interface user experience javascript information technology card Lead UI-UX Designer || DC || Onsite || Need Locals [email protected] http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=3422759&uid=fefa669773e541369f544ec796adf193 |
