Job Title Junior SCADA Software Engineer Job Location Winston Salem, NC (On Site NO remote -Hybrid Onsite from day one Need to be local or Near By Duration 6 Months+ Visa -Any Visa except H1B,CPT, Mode of Interview -Phone/Skype Job Description- Manager Notes: SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) is a category of software applications for controlling industrial processes, which is the gathering of data in real time from remote locations in order to control equipment and conditions. POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: The SCADA Contractor position supports the Worldwide Manufacturing and Engineering department by providing SCADA development and support for the Worldwide Manufacturing facilities. The candidates focus will be to develop software enhancements and upgrades and help to maintain existing SCADA infrastructures worldwide. The responsibilities will include performing SCADA-related development, deployment, and documentation at the direction of a SCADA manager. This position will interact with GTS and engineering teams to provide data and execute project work. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Develop and deploy SCADA graphics, reports, dashboards at direction of SCADA manager Configure AVEVA SCADA systems to communicate to new equipment as needed Configure AVEVA Historian and System Platform architecture Migrate screens and configuration from existing SCADA Design, develop, and deploy SQL tables, views, and procedures used to track and store SCADA information Track SCADA alerts and address SCADA system maintenance including reboots, backups, and reset of client displays Assist in end-user trainings of graphics and systems Assist in troubleshooting system issues, expanding user access, and assisting in data requests Assist in creating SCADA technical and training documentation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills: 2-5 years proven experience deploying projects using AVEVA software (Edge, Historian, System Platform, Insight) Strong programming knowledge in VBA, VBScript, .NET, and SQL/Oracle Knowledge of OPC UA and Allen Bradley driver protocols Basic understanding of network architecture and data flow Strong inter-departmental communication skills with Production and Maintenance. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, MS Teams, Project, Excel, and Word) Ability to understand manufacturing and packaging systems and how they function. Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment and be a strong team player Experience: 2-5 years as a systems integrator, software engineer, or controls engineer with experience of SCADA systems and software programming. Experience working in packaging and food industry is desirable. Education: B.S.
