About the Role: We are seeking a highly accomplished Mainframe Infrastructure Engineering Technical Lead to serve as the client-side Subject Matter Expert (SME) governing our core mainframe platform. In this critical oversight role, you will manage operational sustainability, system changes, and infrastructure upgrade projects. Actively interfacing between internal enterprise teams and our Managed Service Supplier, you will ensure total compliance with contractual SLAs, regulatory audit standards, and baseline security controls. You will provide deep technical validation for vendor-managed modifications across z/OS, IMS, and DB2 subsystems while anchoring platform security through RACF and zSecure. Key Responsibilities: Platform Technical Governance: Oversee and govern operations, system changes, and infrastructure upgrades across z/OS, Dell Storage, IMS, DB2, and CA JobTrac setups. Supplier & SLA Oversight: Serve as the core interface to the Managed Service Provider, holding them accountable to contracted metrics, key performance indicators, and technical resolutions. Change & Compliance Assurance: Perform technical reviews and compliance validation for business-requested infrastructure maintenance, ensuring an auditable change stream. Mainframe Security & Audit Controls: Execute Baseline Security Compliance activities and audit support protocols utilizing RACF security services and the zSecure tool suite. Incident & Problem Management: Lead major incident troubleshooting tasks, coordinate planned after-hours releases, and conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis with definitive preventive actions. Risk Mitigation: Identify technical operational risks linked to planned system enhancements and implement robust mitigation frameworks to safeguard partition reliability. Essential Skills: z/OS Architecture & Subsystem Mastery: Extensive hands-on infrastructure engineering background with deep knowledge of z/OS internals, IMS, and DB2 relational setups. Mainframe Security Administration: Strong working background navigating RACF architectures, managing baseline security profiles, and answering complex system audits. Core Utility Proficiency: Complete technical fluency utilizing JCL, CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and SQL engines. Desirable Skills: zSecure Customization: Practical knowledge of the zSecure administration environment and its specialized Carla language for advanced report customization.
