Job Title: Business Analyst Capital Markets (ABOR/IBOR) Location: Irvine CA || Onsite Employment Type: Contract Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Capital Markets, Trade Lifecycle Management, and ABOR/IBOR platforms. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, stakeholder management experience, and a strong understanding of front-to-back-office investment operations. Must Have Technical / Functional Skills Strong experience as a Business Analyst in the Capital Markets domain. Deep understanding of Trade Lifecycle processes across asset classes. Hands-on experience with ABOR (Accounting Book of Record) and IBOR (Investment Book of Record). Knowledge of investment management operations, portfolio accounting, and reconciliation processes. Experience in gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications. Strong understanding of Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office workflows. Experience with trade processing, settlements, corporate actions, cash management, and reconciliation. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and SDLC processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Roles & Responsibilities Work closely with business stakeholders, portfolio managers, operations, and technology teams to gather and analyze requirements. Analyze trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, validation, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting. Support implementation and enhancement of ABOR/IBOR platforms and related applications. Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional documentation. Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements. Coordinate with development and QA teams during testing and implementation phases. Support UAT activities and ensure business requirements are met. Assist in data analysis, reconciliation, and issue resolution. Participate in project planning, status reporting, and stakeholder communication. Preferred Skills Experience with investment accounting platforms such as Aladdin, Eagle, Charles River, SimCorp, or Geneva. Knowledge of fixed income, equities, derivatives, and other financial instruments. SQL knowledge for data validation and reporting is preferred.
