Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Business Process Management (BPM) and the Appian low-code platform to drive digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring efficient process automation, solution design, and successful delivery of scalable Appian applications. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements. Conduct workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs to understand current-state (AS-IS) processes and define future-state (TO-BE) processes. Translate business requirements into user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria. Serve as a trusted advisor to business users, product owners, and project teams. Facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders. 2. BPM & Process Optimization Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and business process re-engineering. Develop process maps, BPMN diagrams, workflows, and decision models. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness. Design end-to-end business workflows using Appian process modeling capabilities. Support continuous improvement initiatives across business functions. 3. Appian Platform Expertise Work closely with Appian developers, architects, and technical teams to design and implement solutions. Support development activities involving: Appian Process Modeler Appian Records SAIL Interfaces Reports and Dashboards Integration Objects (REST/SOAP APIs) Decision Rules and Expression Rules Participate in solution design reviews and ensure alignment with business requirements. Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement clarification activities. 4. Requirements Management & Documentation Develop and maintain: Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) User Stories and Epics Process Flow Diagrams Use Cases and Acceptance Criteria Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements through development, testing, and deployment. Maintain documentation required for governance, compliance, and audit purposes. 5. Agile Delivery & Collaboration Work within Agile/Scrum teams as a Business Analyst or Product Owner proxy. Participate in: Sprint Planning Daily Stand-Ups Backlog Refinement Sessions Sprint Reviews/Demos Retrospectives Prioritize backlog items based on business value, risk, and technical feasibility. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production rollout activities. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of Business Analysis experience with BPM projects. Hands-on experience with the Appian platform. Strong understanding of BPM, workflow automation, and process optimization methodologies. Experience creating BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and process documentation. Knowledge of BPMN, process mapping, and workflow design. Familiarity with REST and SOAP integrations. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Appian Business Analyst or Appian-related certifications. Experience in digital transformation and process automation initiatives. Exposure to enterprise applications and system integration projects. Knowledge of process governance, compliance, and audit requirements. Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
