Position: Power Platform Developer opportunity Location: 100% Remote (prefer someone in CST time zone) with stellar communication skills!!! Duration: 12+ months contract Visa: NO H1B/OPT/CPT Scope of Services 1. County business need/background Hennepin County is seeking an experienced and skilled Microsoft Power Platform developer to assist business users across the organization in development of skills and solutions as they begin to adopt Microsoft Power Platform tools. 2. Work to be performed In alignment with Hennepin County governance standards, the developer will work closely with business teams to understand their requirements, provide design recommendations and work with business teams to implement either via development support or paired programming. In addition, they will help to operationalize solution support in the business area. Project objectives include: Create solutions to replace legacy solutions Streamline inefficient processes Automate manually intensive processes Build the skills of business users to allow them to continue to build, improve and maintain their solutions. Specific skills/experience required: Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI Strong understanding of case management systems and the ability to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements Experience with SharePoint and experience migrating data from SharePoint to the Power Platform Strong experience in data integration and the ability to connect various systems and data sources Good understanding of testing web applications for mobile use and accessibility Strong understanding of user experience design and the ability to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces Experience with agile development methodologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to come up with solutions to complex issues Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the business team to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements Strong ability to be autonomous, pro-active, and self-motivated The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development and experience with the Microsoft Power Platform is required.
