Need LinkedIn Position Overview The client is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Payroll Developer to support a critical FICA (Federal Insurance Contributions Act) Redesign Roadmap initiative within the PeopleSoft HCM environment. This role requires a highly experienced PeopleSoft developer with deep expertise in Payroll for North America and extensive hands-on experience with FICA tax processing, calculations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical development background, experience working in large-scale enterprise payroll environments, and the ability to independently deliver solutions with minimal ramp-up time. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, customize, and support PeopleSoft Payroll for North America solutions, with a primary focus on FICA-related functionality. Participate in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of PeopleSoft HCM applications, including Payroll, Time & Labor, and Absence Management. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design specifications and development solutions. Develop and support Application Engine programs, PeopleCode, SQL, PL/SQL, BI Publisher reports, and integrations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll system issues, defects, and production support incidents. Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts, Functional Leads, and technical teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and implementation procedures. Participate in system upgrades, data conversions, object migrations, and deployment activities. Ensure adherence to development standards, security requirements, and PeopleSoft best practices. Provide on-call and production support as required. Required Qualifications 7+ years of PeopleSoft HCM development experience. Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Payroll for North America. Extensive experience with FICA tax processing, Social Security and Medicare calculations, tax compliance, and payroll customizations. Deep understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM data model and payroll architecture. Strong experience with: Application Engine PeopleCode SQL and PL/SQL Oracle Database BI Publisher Experience supporting large-scale PeopleSoft implementations in complex enterprise environments. Proven ability to gather requirements and translate functional specifications into technical solutions. Experience with production support, issue triage, debugging, and root cause analysis. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PeopleSoft Time & Labor and Absence Management modules. Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid, Tiles, Related Content, Event Mapping, and Page Field Configurator. Experience with object migration tools such as STAT and/or PHIRE. Higher Education industry experience. Experience supporting organizations with large employee populations and complex payroll processing requirements. Skills & Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
