Background & Objective

The client requires temporary histology product validation support related to Design History File(DHF) remediation. The ideal candidate is an experienced histotechnician or histotechnologist with a strong life-science background who can independently execute histology workflows and translate observed user workflow performance into objective validation evidence. The role requires hands-on histology execution, controlled documentation, protocol/report writing, and support of DHF remediation activities for histology workflow consumable products.

Scope of Services

Validation

Develop user-validation protocols that challenge product requirements, intended use, user needs, and workflow performance.

Execute simulated-use or representative-use testing using histology workflows.

Prepare, process, embed, section, stain, coverslip, and assess tissue specimens as part of validation studies.

Document observations, deviations, usability issues, workflow limitations, and objective evidence.

Write validation reports with conclusions traceable to protocol acceptance criteria.

Design & Sustainment

Author and review DHF artifacts including

Product requirements and specifications

Risk management files

Validation testing protocols and reports

General

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Basic understanding of quality systems, e.g. ISO9001, ISO13485

Minimum Qualifications

Required

Bachelors degree in biology, biomedical science, medical laboratory science, histotechnology, pathology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, or related life science.

HT(ASCP) or equivalent histology laboratory experience.

2+ years experience in a regulated industry working with design control documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Independent competency in embedding, microtomy, routine staining, slide quality review, and troubleshooting artifacts.

Experience with tissue processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, H&E staining, reagent handling, and slide evaluation.

Experience documenting laboratory work in controlled records, test protocols, reports, or quality-system documents.

Ability to distinguish product-related workflow issues from technique, specimen, reagent, or equipment variables.
