The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C/C++, RTOS, multithreaded embedded systems, and embedded hardware integration. You will be involved throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and field support.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications for robotic vehicle platforms. Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment. Develop new features and enhance existing embedded applications. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects. Collaborate with systems engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware/software integration. Support deployed systems and provide technical assistance when required. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient C/C++ code. Perform continuous code refactoring and optimization. Follow a test-driven development approach using unit testing, integration testing, and system simulation. Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and reusable software architecture. Use distributed version control systems (Git or similar). Travel up to 15% as needed.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred). 7+ years of professional experience developing embedded real-time software using C/C++. Strong experience with embedded processors and RTOS-based applications. Experience working with large multithreaded embedded systems. Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred Skills Agile software development methodologies. Embedded device driver development. Experience with unmanned vehicle systems. Flash programming tools. Communication protocols: TCP/IP UDP CAN SPI RS-232 Experience with ROS/ROS2 (Robot Operating System).
