This is a hands-on technical role requiring expertise in cloud data engineering, ETL modernization, testing, and migration support. The ideal candidate will serve as the onshore technical lead for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, working closely with business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams to validate migrated data pipelines, resolve defects, optimize performance, and ensure successful delivery of cloud-native data solutions.Key Responsibilities Lead and support SIT and UAT activities for migrating Ab Initio and Teradata workloads to Azure Databricks. Perform data validation, reconciliation, and end-to-end testing to ensure data integrity after migration. Troubleshoot and resolve ETL, transformation, and data quality issues during migration. Optimize Spark and Databricks workloads for performance and scalability. Develop and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Azure Databricks. Collaborate with offshore development teams to investigate defects and implement fixes. Work with business users to validate migrated datasets and ensure successful UAT sign-off. Support deployment activities and participate in release planning. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions. Create technical documentation, migration artifacts, and operational runbooks. Follow enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards throughout the migration.Required Qualifications 810+ years of experience in Data Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio and/or Teradata. Extensive experience with: Azure Databricks Apache Spark PySpark SQL Experience supporting: System Integration Testing (SIT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Data validation Data reconciliation Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. Experience with ETL modernization and cloud migration initiatives. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience collaborating with offshore development teams. Strong understanding of data warehousing and enterprise ETL architecture.
